I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also broken them in well that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.

Where did you end up buying them?
Cettire had them on sale and I jumped on it right away!
Placed my order on April 28th and they were shipped to me by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick – definitely a bonus
What’s the going rate?
Back in April, I managed to get them a survey on Golden Goose for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and $1,700 depending on their level of detail.
How does the sizing run?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.
They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since my feet get sweaty. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Plus, they’re already distressed so your feet just adjust easily.
Do they hold up well?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose still come out on top. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is unique. And the sparkle on mine? Stunning.
Are they worth it?
Totally! Just try not to pay full price. They’re not cheap, so getting them with a promo is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I chose a loud pair, but a low-key version would also look great.

Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched.
Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
